    Some of Northern Norway's best scenery lies within a few hours of Tromsø, but public transport out of the city is thin and winter roads are demanding. A chartered bus lets your group see the coast and mountains on your own timetable, stopping where you want for photos, lunch or a walk.

    Below are the destinations groups ask for most, with approximate one-way driving times from central Tromsø in normal conditions. Winter weather, ferries and road closures can change them; we confirm the plan in your quote.

    Destinations and driving times

    • Ramfjord — about 30 minutes. Calm fjord south of the city, where we run our Arctic floating.
    • Sommarøy — about 1 hour. White beaches and small fishing islands on the outer coast, via Kvaløya.
    • Lyngen — about 1.5 to 2 hours, often with a ferry. The Lyngen Alps rise straight from the fjord.
    • Senja — about 2.5 to 3 hours. Norway's second-largest island, with the dramatic outer coast at Bergsbotn and Tungeneset.

    Planning the day

    Tell us where you'd like to go and how much time you want there. We suggest a realistic route, including ferry times and daylight — in December and January the sun doesn't rise above the horizon, so the light window for scenery is short. In summer, the midnight sun means you can stay out late.

    Combine the drive with an activity: our Arctic floating in Ramfjord or a fjord tour can be part of the same day.

    Are ferry tickets included?

    If the route uses a ferry, it is specified in your written quote.

    Can we do Senja in one day?

    Yes, but it is a long day. We plan it around daylight and the driver's working-hours rules.

    Can we stop wherever we want?

    We stop wherever it is safe and legal to park. The driver will suggest good viewpoints along the way.

    Do you also arrange multi-day trips?

    Ask us. Longer trips may need driver accommodation, which we include in the quote.
