Answer the call of the Arctic and step into a true hands-on adventure. Join the crew of Senjafjell as we set course through Tromsø’s stunning fjords in pursuit of one of the region’s most infamous invaders: the mighty King Crab.

This isn’t a passive sightseeing trip—it’s genuine life at sea. A hands on experience where you get to join in on the work of getting the crab pods to the surface (if you’re up for it, that is).

If you’re looking for something active, real, and exhilarating, this is it. And your reward? A meal you’ve truly earned.

Once the catch is secured, we’ll cook up a fresh King Crab meal right on board. The taste is all the better after the effort you’ve put in.

Along the way, our crew will share the fascinating history of the King Crab in Norway—how it spread here, its biology and behavior, and the influence it has had on ecosystems and coastal life for more than five decades.

The journey begins at our office, where you’ll gear up in protective clothing (oilskins in summer, thermal suits in winter). From there, your guide will accompany you down to the vessel, where the captain will brief everyone on safety and the day’s plan. Then it’s time to head out to the pots and carry out the fishing operations, with step-by-step guidance from the crew.

On the return trip, sit back and enjoy a freshly prepared King Crab dish—straight from the fjords to your plate.
